On Sunday, September 30th, 2018, during the evictions, people gather under the tree house „Paragraph 11“ in Hambach Forest to support the activists that have been occupying the forest for the last six years to protect it from clearing by energy company RWE for lignite extraction. They had left the official periodic „Forest Walk“ demonstration and enjoyed the break, while others helped the activists building barricades against the eviction machinery.
The next day, Paragraph 11 was evicted and destroyed. The evictions continued for some more days, until a court decided that RWE was not allowed to clear the forest that year.
